Our Parish History

In 1943 St. Patrick's became an offical parish with Father Michael O'Conner as its first pastor. In 1950 the church moved from its humble beginnings to the Harding St. location where it flourished for nearly three more decades until relocating on January 16, 1977 to its the present address on Adams St.

In 1962 St. Patrick Catholic School opened its doors as an Elementary school. Over the years it has expanded and continues to provide an excellent Catholic education now for grades K - 8.

Today St. Patrick's is under the careful stewardship of Father Bill who has been a blessing to us all. For over fifty years St Patrick's has been a vital part of the fabric of Carlsbad serving its parishioners and the community at large. The future holds great things.
