It is said that Saint Patrick evangelized the people of Ireland by demonstrating in his own life the spirit, compassion, and love he had for the people. We invite you to join us as we strive to fulfill our Christian responsibilities to God and neighbor through the many service opportunities available at St. Patrick Church.
Altar Servers    729-2866
Boys and girls ages from grades 4 through 12 are invited to participate in the Liturgy of the Mass as alter servers. After a short training period, you will be asked to serve approximately twice a month at one of the weekend Masses.
Altar Society    728-2866
The Altar Society keeps the altar, vestments, and holy vessels in a state of cleanliness and repair. Interested members meet to plan the Christmas Boutique/Bazaar and the Easter Boutique and Cake Sale, and occasionally to assemble "goodie bags" (an assortment of personal hygiene items) for the needy. Meetings are held monthly expect during the summer.
Baptism Classes    729-2866
Baptism classes are held two evenings each month. The classes are preparation for parents and godparents of children who will receive the sacrament of Baptism. One of the primary goals is to encourage parents on their journey with their child.
Bingo    729-2866
Over the past 25 years, the Saint Patrick Social Club has raised more than one million dollars to support Catholic education at Saint Patrick School, and nearly one million more for other ministries in the parish. Our friendly volunteer staff welcomes you to our games. You can serve our parish community as a volunteer, or just by attending this smoke-free social event on Friday evenings.
Bulletin Insert Team    729-2866
When "flyers" or other handouts have to be put into the weekly bulletin, a small team of volunteers inserts them on Friday morning.
Catholic Singles    877-875-8400
The Catholic Singles Network of Southern California offers fellow single Catholics who are 21 and over the opportunity to meet their peers in a social and relaxed atmosphere.
Church Environment    729-2866
The Church Environment ministries prepare the church for liturgical feasts and seasons. We are especially busy at Christmas and Easter. Please come and help us assemble and take down the seasonal decorations in the church.
Coffee and Pastries    729-2866
Parishioners prepare coffee and serve beverages and pastries after the Sunday morning Masses. The schedule for Coffee and Pastry ministry is prepared quarterly; volunteers can expect to be scheduled about twice each month.
Community Services    729-2866
Community Services provides emergency food and clothing, the SHARE program, bread distribution, holiday assistance to families, and many more outreach activities that benefit the community as a whole.
Fraternity House    729-2866
The Saint Patrick Community is responsible for providing Saturday night meals for patients at Fraternity House, a North County AIDS hospice.
Funeral Ministry     729-6366
The funeral ministry provides options and guidance for the family regarding types of services, dates and times, and liturgy and music.
Garage Sale    729-2866
Ye Olde Garage Sale provides clothing, housewares, books, toys, etc., to the public at "give-away" prices from the tax-deductible donations we receive. Our earnings are turned over to the Church and are used for scholarships to Saint Patrick School as well as outreach and assistance to the needy. We are located at the far end of the North parking lot, and are open three days a week: Wednesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Would you like to help beautify the Church grounds? You can give any amount of time on any day that you choose.
Greeters    729-2866
Greeters arrive 20 to 30 minutes before Mass, stand at their assigned doors, and welcome all who enter. The list of Greeters is mailed quarterly; greeters can expect to be scheduled about twice each month.

Kitchen Ministry    729-2866
Each week a volunteer inspects the kitchen in the Parish Center to ensure that the stove, doors, cabinets, refrigerator, and countertops, etc., are clean and ready for use. Supplies (cups, plates, coffee, condiments, and utensils) are checked and replaced as required. The Kitchen Ministry can always use additional volunteers! Expect to spend about two hours a month.
Lectors (Ministers of the Word)    729-2866
Lectors proclaim the Word during our liturgical services. All lectors must attend a two-part Diocesan workshop, followed by a training session at Saint Patrick Church. Lectors usually serve about twice a month.

The Music Ministry welcomes singers and instrumentalists to be a part of our Sunday liturgies. Please share your gifts! The first full weekend of each month is "Newcomers' Weekend" at St. Patrick Church. On this weekend you will find the parish registration table on the patio or in the back of the church after each Mass. We welcome you to our community and invite you to our liturgical, educational, social, and other spiritual growth programs.
Peace and Action    729-2866
The mission of the Faith in Action committee at St. Patrick Catholic Church is to advocate, promote, strengthen, and integrate the social teachings of the church at the parish level. We seek to extend the church's outreach and care to the poor, oppressed, and marginalized people of our community and of society as a whole.
Phone Shepherds    729-2866
Do you like meeting new people? Do you have a couple of hours a month that you could use to help the parish? Phone Shepherds call new parishioners; they welcome them to the parish and make sure all their questions or needs have been addressed by the appropriate ministries.
Signers for the Hearing Impaired    729-2866
If you can assist our hearing impaired members, please telephone the office to volunteer.
Ushers    729-2866
Ushers assist the congregation in finding seats for Mass. They also pass the collection baskets, bring the offerings to the alter, and pass out the parish bulletin after Mass.
